Introduction

In June 2019, Restorex were appointed to carry out extensive repairs and refurbishment of the external fabrics of this class B building, involving emergency rope access descaling of loose and friable masonry. Thereafter scaffold was erected which facilitated access to repair / renew architectural lead work, masonry and decoration.

Objectives

To work with the internal contractor, in successfully repairing and restoring the external fabric of this class B  listed building. It was important to carry out the full restoration process, within budget and time constraints.

The project was situated in a busy hub of the city at the heart of an international festival.

Description

The designing, erecting and dismantling of elevation scaffolding, allowing access to carry out the following works.

  • Detailed stone replacement
  • Joinery repair and renewal
  • Re-decoration of windows
  • Replacement of architectural lead work

    Conclusion

    This project was successfully concluded in time and to the agreed budget. It was also a pleasure working with the internal fit out contractor.
