Introduction

In April 2015, Restorex were appointed to carry out extensive repairs and refurbishment of the external fabrics of this class C building, involving slating, architectural lead work, masonry and decoration.

Objectives

To work with the design team, in successfully repairing and restoring the external fabric of this class C listed building. It was important to carry out the full restoration process, within budget and time constraints, whilst recognising the need for minimal disruption to the residents, who were occupying of the property, throughout the works.

Description

The designing, erecting and dismantling of elevation and chimney scaffolding, allowing access to carry out the following works.

  • Extensive areas of stone replacement, both structural and aesthetic
  • Rebuilding of chimneys
  • Joinery repair and renewal
  • Re-decoration of windows
  • Extensive renewal of decorative and structural masonry
  • Overhaul off roof coverings
  • Stripping and replacement of architectural lead work

Conclusion

This project was successfully concluded in time and to the agreed budget. It was also a pleasure working alongside the design team who were instrumental to the project’s success and a number of clients who were extremely helpful.
