Restorex were engaged to undertake a comprehensive schedule of repairs to a highly decorative and detailed category B listed building in the Centre of Edinburgh.

To engage a suitably experienced, Principal Contractor, capable of carrying out a range of highly decorative and detailed masonry, lead, joinery and decoration trades. To complete works within time and budget, to a high quality finish.

The works consisted of:

  • Facade scaffolding
  • Masonry renewal and repair
  • Renewal of architectural lead work
  • Slate repairs
  • Renewal and repair of traditional timber windows
  • Decoration of windows and renovate/soil goods

It was a pleasure to work on a building of such detail and character. The works were completed on time and in budget. It was also rewarding to have enjoyed the company of a very happy group of owners at a topping out ceremony. The event was organised and hosted by the clients and it was a huge honour to attend.

Client Comment

Restorex provided a professional service from tender through to completion. Their expertise, knowledge and willingness to work with Design Team were essential to the successful completion of the contract. Their ability to manage the works within the clients tight budget was especially satisfying.
