Introduction

Restorex were engaged to undertake a comprehensive schedule of repairs to a highly decorative and detailed category B listed building in the Centre of Edinburgh.

Objectives

To engage a suitably experienced, Principal Contractor, capable of carrying out a range of highly decorative and detailed masonry, lead, joinery and decoration trades. To complete works within time and budget, to a high quality finish.

Description

The works consisted of:

  • Facade scaffolding
  • Masonry renewal and repair
  • Renewal of architectural lead work
  • Slate repairs
  • Renewal and repair of traditional timber windows
  • Decoration of windows and renovate/soil goods

Conclusion

It was a pleasure to work on a building of such detail and character. The works were completed on time and in budget. It was also rewarding to have enjoyed the company of a very happy group of owners at a topping out ceremony. The event was organised and hosted by the clients and it was a huge honour to attend.
