Complete attention to falls, drainage and vulnerable junctions

Felt & Flat Roofing services
High-performance felt roofing for flat and low-pitched roofs, installed with careful attention to outlets, upstands, rooflights and adjoining historic fabric.
Understanding the roof before choosing the repair
Flat and low-pitched roofs depend on the complete waterproofing system. Ageing membranes, ponding water, defective laps, split details and poorly formed junctions around rooflights, outlets and penetrations can allow persistent water ingress. A lasting repair must address falls, drainage, substrate condition and every vulnerable interface—not only the visible leak.
How Restorex approaches the work
Restorex inspects the existing roof build-up and surrounding details before recommending local repair, overlay or complete renewal. We install specification-led reinforced bituminous membrane systems, with products selected to suit the roof and project requirements. This can include systems from established manufacturers such as MOY, IKO and Bauder where specified. Insulation, vapour control, outlets, upstands, edge details and penetrations are coordinated as one waterproofing package, with manufacturer requirements followed for the selected system.

Felt & Flat Roofing FAQs
Do you install MOY, IKO and Bauder felt roofing systems?
Restorex can install specification-led felt roofing using products from manufacturers including MOY, IKO and Bauder where appropriate. The selected system, build-up and any warranty requirements must be agreed for the particular roof and project.
Can an existing felt roof be overlaid?
Sometimes. An overlay is suitable only when the existing covering, substrate, falls, moisture condition and details can support a durable new system. A survey and, where necessary, opening-up are required first.
Can insulation be upgraded during felt-roof renewal?
Yes, subject to the roof construction, condensation analysis, available upstand heights and the project specification. Insulation and vapour control should be designed as part of the complete roof build-up.
Do you repair felt roofs as well as replace them?
Yes. Local repairs may be appropriate for isolated defects on an otherwise serviceable roof. Widespread ageing, trapped moisture or repeated failures may make renewal the more reliable option.
Need a clear restoration proposal?
Tell us about the building, the problem and your timescale. Restorex will advise on the appropriate next step.
